Join our collaborative study group to prepare for the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) exams. We offer a structured learning environment, peer support, shared resources, and expert guidance to help you master the BABOK® Guide and achieve your certification goals. This course will be weekly for seven months, February - September. The CBAP is the premier certification for Business Analysts, and the average study time to pass the course is 120-160 hours. You truly get as much as you get involved and lean in! The course is taught by Thea Soehren, CBAP, CSPO, ICP-APO, who contributed to the BABOK 3.0, chapters 9, 10 and the glossary, has been teaching the CBAP, for over ten years. The success of the students who participate in the course and then take the test are very high. This year, this will be the LIVE course, capped at 20 students, and there will be additional groups in various parts of the world who will be in their own classes, but using the recordings of this course. Connect with fellow aspiring business analysts, discuss challenging topics, and build your confidence for exam day.

Join us on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Eastern Time for an interactive BA Masterclass with Tom Tomasovic, CBAP, CBDA, AAC, CCA, CPOA, ECBA. What if AI could help you prepare for stakeholder interviews and then act as the stakeholder you're interviewing? In this hands-on session, Tom will demonstrate how Business Analysts can use AI-powered tools to practice elicitation skills in a realistic, low-risk environment. Participants will learn how AI can assist with planning interview questions, refining elicitation strategies, conducting simulated stakeholder interviews, and generating useful analysis outputs.

Moving from project vision to actionable requirements in Meeting 2 of the SDLC Simulation. Participants will examine the current state, elicit requirements from the Product Owner, develop user stories, and define acceptance criteria that clearly describe what the solution must accomplish. Most Business Analysts learn to build a stakeholder register. Fewer learn how the register is intended to be used — or the value it can bring throughout the initiative. We’re not building your traditional stakeholder register. The AI³ stakeholder decision support model introduces questions that rarely make it into the usual templates — and unlike the traditional register, which is largely a BA research exercise, what we’ll be doing here is an elicitation process. We’ll start with what the project brief gives us, then practice the decisions that only emerge through conversation: what does this stakeholder actually care about, how much influence do they really have, and what do I need to find out next?

Put multiple stakeholders in the same room at the same time to define a problem and you get mush — a lowest-common-denominator statement that everyone can live with and nobody actually owns. Writing a problem statement is easy when you only have one stakeholder. Getting multiple stakeholders to actually agree on what the problem is — that’s the work. The conversations have to happen one stakeholder at a time, and the BA’s job is to keep track of what each stakeholder said — and didn’t say — long enough to synthesize something real that they can all grab on to and own.
