In Meeting 4, participants will transform the prioritized requirements into a complete, testable solution design. The team will explore the user experience, create wireframes and a prototype, define the technical solution, map data and integrations, and establish the testing approach needed to validate the solution. Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026. Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Duration: 3 Hours

With the requirements validated, refined, estimated, and prioritized, the team is now ready to move from what the business needs to how the solution will work.

Meeting 4 focuses on solution design and prototyping. Participants will collaborate across Business Analysis, UI/UX, development, and QA roles to translate the prioritized backlog into a solution that can be understood, built, and tested.

The session begins with the user experience, allowing the team to explore how users will interact with the proposed solution. Participants will develop user flows, wireframes, and a working prototype to make the proposed experience more tangible. The team will then move into the technical aspects of the solution, including data and integration considerations.

Testing is also introduced at this stage so that quality and validation are considered as part of the design rather than being left until the end of development. The completed design package will then be reviewed and approved before the project moves into testing, UAT, deployment, and traceability.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Translate prioritized requirements into a complete solution design.
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes based on identified user needs.
  • Consider user experience when designing business solutions.
  • Understand key technical, data, and integration considerations.
  • Collaborate effectively across BA, UI/UX, development, and QA roles.
  • Define an appropriate testing approach for the proposed solution.
  • Review and validate a solution design before development and testing.

Session Activities

Design User Experience
Define how users will interact with the proposed solution and establish the key journeys and interactions.

Create Wireframes
Develop visual representations of the proposed user interface and solution experience.

Create Prototype
Turn the wireframes and user flows into a prototype that allows stakeholders and the project team to explore the proposed solution.

Design Technical Solution
Translate the approved requirements into a technical solution that developers can build.

Design Data & Integrations
Identify the data requirements, system interactions, and integrations needed to support the solution.

Define Testing Approach
Establish how the solution will be tested and validated against the requirements.

Review & Approve Design
Bring the different elements together and review the complete design package before moving forward.

Deliverables & Roles

Deliverable Primary Role
User Flows UI/UX
Wireframes UI/UX
Prototype UI/UX
Solution Design Developer (Dev)
Data & Integration Design Developer (Dev)

Approved Design Package UI/UX / BA / Dev

What Participants Will Take Away

Participants will leave Meeting 4 with a complete, reviewed, and approved design package that connects the prioritized requirements to the proposed user experience, technical solution, data and integrations, and testing approach. This provides the foundation for Meeting 5: Testing, UAT, Deployment & Traceability, where participants will validate the solution, resolve defects, confirm that requirements have been met, and prepare the solution for release.
