Was I supposed to use a teaspoon or a tablespoon? Creating your leadership recipe . Wouldn't it be great if leadership was an easy recipe with clear and concise instructions? 1-part hard work, 1-part knowledge, a dash of self-confidence, sprinkle with humility and grace, and bake for the duration of your career. Perfection! Unfortunately, leadership is a complex recipe, and the measurements can be extremely tricky to get right. Even worse, if the ingredients in your recipe are slightly altered, it might seem like the recipe wasn't a success. But cooking is an artistic endeavor; recipes can be adapted and so can your leadership journey. Join Christine as she helps you craft your leadership recipe and learn what to do when you inevitably use the wrong ingredient. Through personal stories and experience, and a lot of talk about her grandma’s chocolate cake, she will teach you how to recognize the core components of your recipe and help you identify what is missing. At the end of this session, you will be able to identify your leadership strengths, realize growth opportunities, and learn resiliency strategies for when things don’t go as expected.

About the Speaker

Christine started her career as a high school history teacher but a switch to software training got her started on a career path in technology where she has held various positions in professional services and development over the past 15 years. Currently the manager of enterprise architecture programs at Teaching Strategies, she has found that her roots in teaching are still important to help build and develop amazing teams. She's passionate about creating a strong work culture and helping others find their leadership qualities. Christine lives with her daughter, Josie, in a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, and in her free time enjoys running, traveling, and supporting Josie in her activities.
